Hay House Farm

Hay House is an active, year-round farm located in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. It is an eclectic landscape and gathering grounds with it’s leafy arbors, straw bale barns, drying tobacco leaves, kennel of dogs, makeshift enclosures and the first Buddhist Stupa in the state. The farm is maintained by David Brown and his farm manager, Ryan Karb. At this time, they’ve begun preparation for participation in a Summer CSA program and for the season to come.

Love the angle of the shot with the two guys – they appear to be related – great photo!

  4. I like this little reportage series Jess. So often in horticultural shots, people are left out – for which I’m as guilty as the next – so it’s good to see it in your images.

  5. Beautiful illustrated report on the trades of the farm, Merry Easter with you.

  6. It’s always good to get out to the bare-bones of things like this, Jess…getting back to Mother Earth and all her charms.

  7. Very nice series, these images tell us a story about hard work, passion and simple life

  8. “Back to earth” series – nice photos, it tells the story of this farm well!

  9. Looks good as a diptych. The photo on the left could stand on its own too, it is a good portrait.
